The Tukulor Team writes: “This month we want to focus your prayers on one of the Korean Baptist missionary families. In June 2002 L, his wife, and infant son arrived in Dakar. In December 2003 a second son was born. After spending more than a year learning French, they have moved to a small Tukulor town where they are learning Pulaar. Living in a small Tukulor village is not the same as living in the capital city, and learning Pulaar is not the same as learning French. There are many adjustments and much to learn. Pray that L will learn how to relate properly to the authority figures in the town. There are local government officials, community elders and religious leaders, and it is important that he maintain good relations with every one. Many people visit in their home, and many are seeking financial assistance for one problem or another. Pray that they will remain sensitive to community needs but also discerning. Security is a concern for L. Pray for him to have wisdom about when to speak and when to be silent. They live many hours from adequate medical care. Pray for good health for all of the family. Pray for the people of the town where they live to be open and receptive to the Good News.”
